By contacting us WELL in advance of your requirement to regain possession of the property.

We serve a two month notice on your behalf. This notice is served (usually) by hand and the date and time is recorded.

The two month notice commences from the date the next rental payment is due. Therefore if the rent is due for payment on (for example) the 15th of the month and we serve a notice on the 16th, the notice will effectively become a 3 month notice.

It is best to contact us as soon as you have any thoughts about taking your property back so that we can act quickly and within the required time-frames.

If the Tenant is within a fixed term contract, the notice will expire either at the end of the fixed term or two months after serving the notice (if the fixed term expires within two months of serving the notice).

The Tenant can also leave the property at any time after the notice is served.

We find that most of our Tenants (if they wish to continue renting) wish to continue renting from Brookdale so we work with them to find suitable alternative accommodation. Being the largest letting agent in the Peterborough area always means that we are in a position to find alternative accommodation.
